THE ASOCIATION

The Association "Friends of La Laguna de la Janda" is a non-governmental organization, legally constituted on May 25, 1994, by a group of people residing in the area of Laguna de La Janda or in its vicinity and who had the privilege to have known this exceptional wetland before it was defiantly drained at the end of the 60s of the last century.

The reason for which the Association was established was to claim the partial restoration of a representative part of the old lagoon, complying with ecological criteria, the conservation and promotion of its flora, fauna and their habitats, its declaration as a Protected Natural Area and to disseminate its value. ecological as well as its historical and cultural heritage.
